Restoring the link between people and woodlands

Merthyr Tydfil

AnnaSince April 2016 Anna has moved from being the project officer in Treherbert to the become the Woodland Mentor in Merthyr Tydfil. ┬áSince then she has been meeting potential partner organisations and getting to know the local woodlands. A Taster day is running on the 25th November for any health professionals, people working in the environmental sector and anyone with an interest – all welcome!

We have also been working with Cyfartha Park and NERS to run training for their staff, and the NERS group is now up and running, which started on the 4th November!

In July and August we ran a session with Hafal and the Wildlife Trust at their Taff Fechan Reserve and we are aiming to make this a monthly event.

Contact actifwoodsmerthyr@smallwoods.org.uk if you are interested in being involved in the Merthyr project; either as a partner organisation, participant or woodland activity provider.
