Since April 2016 Anna has moved from being the project officer in Treherbert to the become the Woodland Mentor in Merthyr Tydfil. Since then she has been meeting potential partner organisations and getting to know the local woodlands. A regular group is now running with NERS, and there’s an Taf Fechan Open session with cooking and crafts at Taf Fechan on the 29th June 2017 – all welcome! There’s also a one day Mindfulness in woodlands course planned for August. Details of all below.

We have also been working with Cyfartha Park and NERS to run training for their staff, and the NERS group is now up and running, which started on the 4th November!
In July and August we ran a session with Hafal and the Wildlife Trust at their Taff Fechan Reserve and we are aiming to make this a monthly event.
Taster day – 18th August 2016:
There was a stakeholder planning meeting and taster day held on the 10th September 2015 at Cyfartha Castle and Park for all interested in this project.
