Credwn fel ymddiriedolwyr ein bod angen logo ar gyfer y priosect, felly bu penderfyniad ar gynnal cystadleuaeth er mwyn creu syniadau ar gyfer y logo.

Mae’r enw Saesneg yn sefydlog, megis:  ‘Cambrian Wildwood’.

Does dim penderfyniad cadarn ar gyfer yr enw Cymraeg hyd yn hyn ond mwy na thebyg y bydd -  ‘Coetir Anian Cambria’ neu ‘Coetir Cynhenid  Cambria’ - yn ddewisol.

Gall y logo gynnwys yr enwau yn unig neu gall fod yn ddyluniad yn unig, neu’r ddau.

Rydych yn rhydd i wneud y dewis eich hunain.

Yn anffodus, nid oes gennym yr adnoddau i gynnig gwobr ariannol ond fe allwn gynnig yr enwogrwydd a’r balchogrwydd a gewch o weld y logo ym mhobman, (gobeithio).

(Rydym yn gwarchod yr hawl i addasu’r logo er mwyn cynhyrchu’r fersiwn lawn, derfynol)

A new programme to help people set up and manage growing schemes in the heart of their community has been launched across Wales by the Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens (FCFCG).

Called Tyfu Pobl (Growing People), is funded through the Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007-2013, which is itself funded by the Welsh Government and the European Union. The three year programme will support a variety of schemes, including community farms, allotments, community gardens, community orchards and Community Supported Agriculture schemes. It is a direct result of booming interest in community food growing and creating natural green spaces.

The Welsh Government-funded programme will ensure that community groups don't work in isolation - local people will be encouraged to share their knowledge and expertise so that connections between new and well-established growing schemes are created throughout Wales.

A new development team is already in place, with regional offices in Cardiff, Pembrokeshire, Newtown and Bangor (contact details below).  Meanwhile a Community Enterprise and Funding Coordinator to help combat the withering effects of the current funding climate by accessing funding sources and working with groups so they become more financially sustainable and less grant reliant.

As part of the programme, local growing groups will benefit from support and advice from the development team as well as fieldworkers drawn from existing groups and allotments mentors. A travel bursary scheme will also be available so groups can visit each other's sites and regional meetings to enable local growers and gardeners to meet up, learn new skills and swap ideas and inspiration.

An official launch event takes place on 23-24 September at Greenmeadow Community Farm in Cwmbran, which will kick off the new autumn programme of regional gatherings and training events. Training will be delivered around 4 main areas; sustainability, social inclusion, the setting up of a community growing project and the creation of community growing spaces for land owners.

Llais y Goedwig is commissioning community woodland groups to write up a case study on their group and woodland. Five case studies are to be written detailing the setting up, running and evolution of each group; groups should be full members of Llais y Goedwig.

The case studies should explain the history of the group and include anything you’ve tried that you’d like to share or reflect on. We’d like the case studies to be examples of what worked or didn’t work for your group, highlighting lessons learned along the way and explaining any innovative ideas for example: for income generation, community involvement or woodland management.

The finished case studies will be made available on the Llais y Goedwig website as the first in a series of publications showcasing the achievements of Llais y Goedwig’s members.

Funding from Llais y Goedwig will be provided so the group can prepare and write up the case study. Submissions in English or Welsh will be accepted.

What next?
If you want to talk about the brief or your proposed case study then please contact us, preferably via email on Mae'r cyfeiriad ebost yn cael ei warchod rhag spam bots, rhaid i chi alluogi Javascript i'w weld. , or on 0845456 0342 . If you are happy with what is to be done and your group wants to apply for the funding please send a letter of application and we will make a decision very quickly.

Your letter should briefly outline the following:
-       location, type and age of your group
-       nature and extent of your woodland
-       the type of activities you undertake
-       the activity you want to showcase in your case study
-       why your case study would be of interest to other groups

Tree O'Clock was a Breathing Places initiative to encourage people to plant trees during a single hour on 5 December 2009.

Blaen Bran Community Woodland (BBCW) in South East Wales took part in this national event. David Williams, secretary of the group, said “BBCW weren't sure what to expect in looking to take part in Tree O'Clock on 5th December, but it was a great opportunity to have all the committee and a wide range of members involved. We had to fill in some documentation from 'Breathing Spaces', but they were very helpful - and a couple of BBC Wales staff came along as observers. Local scouts and their families got in on the act - and some 2400 trees were planted. We had all ages - from six to eighty - and it was great to see groups working together, with the weather smiling on us as well. It was quite a lot of hard work and planning - but a great project to get people involved in.”
