Part time role 2-3 days per week. £17,061-£19,905 (dependent on experience) pro rata – fixed term contract until March 2022, but dependent on match funding each year. Based in our Machynlleth office.

This role will support the work of Coed Lleol (Smallwoods Wales) with a variety of administrative and data entry tasks, at an exciting time as we develop a range of new projects, all contributing to improving people’s health and wellbeing through coordination of woodland activities.

Project Development Officer, Green Health and Access West Wales

Part-time role 3 days (22.5 hours) per week, £22,178 pro rata, Temporary until March 2020

Location flexible (Ceredigion/Pembrokeshire/Carmarthenshire/Machynlleth – travel across the region and to our Machynlleth office will be required).

This role, funded by the Welsh Government ‘Enabling Natural Resources and Wellbeing’ Fund, will develop the partnership project ‘Green Health and Access West Wales’, on behalf of Coed Lleol – Small Woods, the lead partner in the project. Project objectives are to investigate current greenspace provision for local communities with a focus on all-ability access; to support providers of green health initiatives to promote best practice and work directly with the health sector, to raise the profile of social prescribing to ‘nature-based health care’ and build strong partnerships between the healthcare and environmental sectors. The pilot project’s ultimate aim is to develop a larger funding bid to deliver improvements in greenspace access and training for green health providers.

The role involves travel across the project region to engage and consult with stakeholders, project partners and the public; coordinating meetings of project partners and stakeholders, organising taster outdoor health events; mapping and gathering information on current provision of access to greenspace and current outdoor health initiatives; compiling a project report and contributing to a funding proposal for follow-on activities and future provision of all-ability access.

Bydd y swydd newydd hon, a ariennir gan Gronfa ‘Galluogi Adnoddau Naturiol a Llesiant’ Llywodraeth Cymru, yn datblygu’r prosiect partneriaeth ‘Iechyd Gwyrdd a Mynediad Gorllewin Cymru’, ar ran Coed Lleol, y prif bartner yn y prosiect. Amcanion y prosiect yw ymchwilio darpariaeth gwyrddfannau cyfredol i gymunedau lleol gyda ffocws ar fynediad i bob gallu; cefnogi darparwyr mentrau iechyd gwyrdd i hyrwyddo arfer orau a gweithio’n uniongyrchol â’r sector iechyd, i godi proffil presgripsiynu cymdeithasol i ‘ofal iechyd ar sail natur’ a meithrin partneriaethau cryfion rhwng y sector gofal iechyd a’r sector amgylcheddol. Nod y prosiect peilot yn y pen draw yw datblygu cynnig cyllid mwy sylweddol i ddarparu gwelliannau mewn mynediad at wyrddfannau a hyfforddiant i ddarparwyr iechyd gwyrdd.

Mae’r swydd yn gofyn i chi deithio ar draws rhanbarth y prosiect i ymgysylltu ac ymgynghori â rhanddeiliaid, partneriaid y prosiect a’r cyhoedd; cydlynu cyfarfodydd partneriaid y prosiect a rhanddeiliaid a threfnu digwyddiadau blasu iechyd awyr agored; mapio a chasglu gwybodaeth ar y ddarpariaeth gyfredol i sicrhau mynediad at wyrddfannau a mentrau iechyd awyr agored cyfredol; trefnu adroddiad prosiect a chyfrannu at gais am gyllid ar gyfer gweithgareddau dilynol a’r ddarpariaeth i’r dyfodol o’r defnydd gan bobl o bob gallu.
